NBAA welcomes Jim Facette, a government-relations expert with extensive knowledge of aviation issues, as the new president and CEO of the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA).
“CBAA is evolving to a stronger and more responsive association,” said CBAA chair Rod Barnard. “The selection team and board were unanimous in their belief that Jim’s experience in association management, as well as his expertise in government relations and advocacy, would consolidate and grow the gains we made under [former CBAA CEO] Rudy Toering.”
Facette has a long career in professional association management, and was previously the president and CEO of the Canadian Airport Council. There, he worked closely with government agencies, including Transport Canada, the Canadian Border Services Agency and the International Civil Aviation Organization, as well as several aviation associations.
“NBAA and CBAA share a long, productive partnership on issues that impact business aviation in both countries, including border and security topics. We look forward to working with Jim as we continue our relationship with CBAA,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
