FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: Monday, September 17, 2017
Lockheed Martin has taken the Presenting Sponsor honours at this year’s AIRSHOW LONDON (ASL). Dave
De Kelver, Executive Director of AIRSHOW LONDON made the announcement today.
Lockheed Martin is the manufacturer of the F-35 Lightning II which is a premier performer by the United States Air Force Heritage Team at this year’s show. De Kelver says the connection between ASL and Lockheed Martin is a natural match as the show will profile not only the F-35, but several additional aircraft made by Lockheed Martin. He says, “As the largest military air demonstration in Canada this year, AIRSHOW LONDON is a showcase of the world’s leading aircraft and the companies who make them. This is where casual spectators and aircraft aficionado come together to see the BEST and LATEST in aircraft design and technology. We are very pleased Lockheed Martin has stepped into the Presenting Sponsor role.” De Kelver says sponsorship interest has been very high this year and the not-for-profit organization welcomed a number of supporters. A complete list can be found on the AIRSHOW LONDON website.
“We are proud to take on the role of presenting sponsor for the Canada 150 edition of AIRSHOW LONDON and are delighted that the F-35 Lighting II will perform as part of the United States Air Force Heritage team,” said Charles Bouchard, Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin Canada. “I encourage Canadians from across Ontario to come to the air show and see the only fifth generation fighter jet production. An operational jet being flown around the world today, a jet that includes parts and components made by Canadian companies, and a jet that will be flown for generations to come.”
