September 2nd, 2015– Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) was recently awarded a contract by the Israel National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office, to establish an innovative platform using secure and advanced protocols, for the real-time sharing of operational information (Actionable Information) between organizations in regard to cyber incidents.
The platform, the first of its kind in Israel, will form a network between professionals in different organizations and the national CERT (Cyber Event Readiness Team) on the basis of sharing information and intelligence in the field of cyber-protection.
Nation–wide information sharing among civilian organizations is a key component in dealing with cyber events and building Israel’s cyber space resilience.
CERT-IL is Israel’s national focal point for confronting cyber threats. It was established in the Prime Minister’s Office to assist and strengthen the economy at large in the area of cyber protection.
Joseph Weiss, IAI’s CEO and President said: “We are proud to take part and cooperate with Israel’s National Cyber Bureau. The field is gaining momentum with the proliferation of threats and growing vulnerabilities, and due to the increasing reliance on computerization in all aspects of our lives. IAI provides many diverse solutions in the cyber field, and we are working to strengthen our foothold in this area.”
