SAVANNAH, Georgia, Sept. 17, 2015 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced that Bill Skinner, vice president and corporate controller/treasurer, has been appointed vice president, Treasurer and Financial Planning. Kimberly Benson was named to succeed him as vice president, corporate controller. Skinner and Benson report to Dan Clare, chief financial officer, Gulfstream.
“Bill and Kim have both led the Finance organization with great skill and leadership as Gulfstream experienced significant growth, especially over the past nine years,” Clare said. “The establishment of these two leadership roles will enhance the focus on key financial processes as we navigate new accounting regulations and standards for our business worldwide.”
Skinner has been with Gulfstream more than 20 years. He joined the company from the international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. As vice president, Treasurer and Financial Planning, Skinner is responsible for all treasury and cash management, financial planning and tax reporting and compliance processes.
Skinner is a certified public accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Benson’s most recent role at Gulfstream was director, Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis. She joined Gulfstream in 2001 as a senior staff accountant and took on increasing levels of responsibility before she was appointed director. In her new role, she leads financial reporting, cost and capital project accounting and shared services, such as payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. She also handles audit and compliance matters.
Benson is a certified public accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
