EBACE – Geneva (SWI), May 18, 2015 – Daher is proud to consolidate its position as a tier-1 supplier for the latest Gulfstream aircraft platforms, the G500 and G600. Daher will provide the wing-to-body fairing, a composite structure contributing to the aerodynamics of the aircraft.
Daher builds on its expertise to design and manufacture complex composite aerostructures
Daher has many years of experience in design and manufacturing of composite fairings for a large number of aircraft. This is one of the products for which Daher can offer turnkey solutions: from design and manufacturing, right through to installation on the aircraft at its customers’ final assembly lines.
“With this new work package, Daher is more involved in the G500 and G600 programs. The renewed confidence of a customer like Gulfstream is the best proof of the quality of the solutions delivered by Daher. All our teams are very proud of this new success.” explains Nicolas Orance, Senior Vice President of Daher’s Aerospace & Defense Business Unit.
A new stage in Daher’s development strategy in the US
Eight months after its first contract announcement with Gulfstream and two months after the opening of a new site in Pompano Beach, FL, this new contract sees Daher go one step further with its development of the US market.
“Daher is very committed to expand in the US market. It has over 40 years of presence in North America as an aircraft manufacturer, a fleet of more than 500 TBMs flying here, and a composite aerostructures plant located in Nogales, Mexico, to serve US aircraft OEMs. The renewed confidence from Gulfstream is encouraging us to accelerate the growth of our activities in the United States” added Didier Kayat, Deputy CEO of DAHER.
As of 2014, Daher employs 200 people and generates a turnover of $200 million in North America.
