West Rishon LeZion – In the 1970’s, Israel was the world’s pioneer in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Today Israel is still at the global forefront in this field. Along with the United States and China, who are investing heavily in developing UAV capabilities, Israel is still leading in innovation and export in this exciting area
Held on September 7th, 2015 in Israel, the 3rd Autonomous, Unmanned Systems & Robotics convention – AUS&R 2015 commemorates the fourth decade of Israel’s UAVs, for it was in 1975 when the IDF challenged the local industry with the requirement for the first airborne, unmanned reconnaissance drone to provide intelligence in real-time. The first two mini-drones already flew the following year!
The biggest event of its kind in Israel AUS&R 2015 will be held at the new conference center LAGO in the city of Rishon-Letzion (near Tel-Aviv) where thousands of delegates and visitors are expected to arrive.
AUS&R 2015 will include demonstrations of UAVs in flight and robotic vehicles on the ground. The exhibition will present the latest technological innovations in the fields of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Robotics. In addition, the day’s events include a professional conference in which today’s leaders and past pioneers will discuss the technologies and means being developed today for the systems of tomorrow.
The conference is creating great interest in Israel and abroad and hundreds of participants have already registered. Among the participants are foreign delegations, top-ranking officials in the security forces and representatives from many industries in Israel and abroad.
