Management, accessibility, sustainable development: always innovating.
Paris Air Show is one of the biggest events worldwide, like, the Olympic Games or the Festival de Cannes. For those giants, approximation is not an option. That is why, for the last 10 years, the Paris Air Show organizing team has been making in-depth work on management, sustainable development, and accessibility.
A well-orchestrated Management.
The key for the Show preparation is teamwork, because all tasks are inter-connected. Problems are examined and solved in weekly meetings. The ISO standard 20121, obtained in 2013, (after Olympic Games and Eurovision contest) includes responsible management processes, performed with commitment by the team: as Gilles Fournier, Managing Director, « we are very attuned to ISO standard 20121.» For the hundreds of people working on the building site, at le Bourget airfield, there is neither night shift nor quickly swallowed sandwiches, but respected work hours, and an affordable cantina for the personnel. Installations are made in order to permit that everyone can work in good conditions. Everything is taken care of… So that unpredictable events can be faced successfully.
Environment: organisation team and exhibitors are working together.
The Show is working hard to reduce the environmental impact, and encourages exhibitors to do as well, by proposing them a number of services. on site temp agency, in partnership with Adecco, to employ local personnel ; reusable material bank ( stand ceiling, floor, etc) ; the Show publishes an “environmental friendly” guide for exhibitors, to provide tools, such as: « Re Use », (how to reuse materials ) access to material bank « Amat », (http://amat-materiautheque.fr/?lang=en ) in partnership with the Event and Exhibition French Federation (FFM2E). Exhibitors respond very well to this initiative.
A conference on environment will take place during the Show ; further information will be available soon on www.siae.fr
