MONTREAL, CANADA–(Marketwired – April 8, 2015) – (NYSE:CAE) (TSX:CAE) – CAE today announced a series of training solutions contracts valued at a total of more than C$140 million at list prices. They include long-term training services contracts with low-cost airline Viva Columbia which will be training at a new CAE training centre in Columbia, a training contract expansion with Mesa Airlines, as well as five full-flight simulators (FFSs). CAE concludes its fiscal year 2015, which ended on March 31, 2015, with a total of 41 FFSs sold.
The latest FFS sales include:
— One Airbus A350 FFS to China Airlines
— Two Boeing 737-800 FFSs to Southwest Airlines
— One FFS and training devices for a regional jet sold to an undisclosed
customer in Asia
— One Boeing 737-900ER FFS to an undisclosed airline in North America
List prices include the value of OEM aircraft-specific data, parts and equipment (DP&E), normally procured by CAE in the manufacture of its simulators. In the case of these contracts, some customers are providing part of the OEM content.

Viva Columbia
CAE has signed a long-term training service agreement with low-cost carrier Viva Columbia for the training of its A320 pilots. To support the training agreement, CAE will be expanding its network with the addition of a training centre in Bogota, Columbia. CAE will install an A320 CAE 7000 Series full-flight simulator in November 2015. The new training centre will have the capacity to house two simulators and will feature classrooms, briefing/debriefing rooms, customers’ offices and a lounge.
Mesa Airlines
CAE has signed a new 10-year training services agreement with Mesa Airlines, extending a relationship that has been in place since 2002. The agreement includes the type-rating training of pilots for the Embraer 170 aircraft as well as the Bombardier CRJ200, 700 and 900. Training will be conducted at CAE’s training locations in Dallas, Minneapolis and Phoenix in the United States, Copenhagen, Denmark as well as Toronto, Canada.
China Airlines
CAE has signed a contract with China Airlines for an Airbus A350 full-flight simulator of the CAE 7000XR Series model. The contract also includes a CAE Tropos 6000XR visual system. The simulator will be delivered to China Airlines’ training centre in July 2016. This is the ninth CAE-built simulator purchased by China Airlines.
Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines has purchased two Boeing 737-800 full-flight simulators which will be delivered to the airlines’ training centre in Dallas, USA, in the last quarter of 2016. Both simulators are CAE 7000 Series models. Those two simulators bring to 10 the total number of CAE-built simulators operated by Southwest Airlines.
