SEATTLE, Mar. 12, 2015 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] is pleased that Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced a commitment to purchase three additional 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes.
The order, valued at $990 million at list prices, will be posted on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website when finalized. Today’s commitment follows SWISS’ previous order for six 777-300ERs in 2013.
“The 777-300ER has consistently proved its value as a reliable, efficient and comfortable flagship for airlines across the world, making it the perfect fit for SWISS’ future long-haul plans,” said Todd Nelp, vice president, European Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “We are honored by today’s commitment for additional 777s from SWISS and look forward to finalizing the order.”
SWISS is part of the Lufthansa Group and currently serves 69 destinations across 37 countries worldwide from Zurich, Basel and Geneva international airports with a fleet of more than 90 narrow and wide-body airplanes.
