Wednesday, September 26, 2018 – Le Loroux Bottereau, France – Alsim is pleased to announce the delivery of an AL42 simulator to Skyborne, the UK’s newest and most innovative airline training academy, based at Gloucestershire Airport.
Set to meet the ever-increasing demands of the aviation industry with innovative, airline-focused training, Skyborne is the brainchild of three leading figures in aviation training; Tom Misner (Chairman), Lee Woodward, (CEO) and Ian Cooper (COO).
The founders’ extensive experience in commercial aviation, education and training sees Skyborne adopting a fresh approach to pilot training with a focus on quality and individual aptitude. The company has selected the Alsim AL42 Simulator to ensure that only the highest standard of teaching, safety and relevant airline-style training is offered.
Ian Cooper, Skyborne COO, says: “We are delighted to be offering our cadets the opportunity to learn to fly using the very latest in simulator technology. Alsim’s AL42 Simulator has an extensive database that reproduces different scenarios and flying conditions, exposing the cadet to real-life situations, vital for developing the quick decision-making skills needed in the cockpit.
“It is also an exact replica of the DA42, which makes the transition to the Diamond, the aircraft we train in, a much more seamless experience.”
