Québec’s aerospace cluster reacts to the US Department of Commerce decision
Montréal, September 26, 2017 – Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal, today issued the following statement on behalf of the Board of directors of Aéro Montréal.

Aéro Montréal, Québec’s aerospace cluster, believes that the decision by the US Department of Commerce to impose countervailing duties on Bombardier will create uncertainty and adversely affect the competitiveness of the aerospace ecosystem.
On behalf of the aerospace cluster, Aéro Montréal is asking the parties involved to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
“We consider Canada’s and Québec’s aerospace investments to be in compliance with international trade rules. It is in the interest of all companies that markets remain open and that competition stays healthy”, explains Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal.
