Dorval, June 5, 2017¾Today, as part of the public event highlighting the involvement of several new partners in the L’économie sociale, j’achète! initiative of the Conseil d’économie sociale de l’Île de Montréal (CESIM), Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) signed the statement of undertaking and confirmed its commitment to using more services from social economy enterprises.
“We already have a sustainable purchasing policy that supports the social economy,” said Philippe Rainville, President and CEO of ADM. “We fully believe in the CESIM initiative, which is contributing to the economic vitality of communities while opening the door to the social integration of young people, a factor that is very important to us.”
A Very Real Commitment From ADM
Through its procurement policy, ADM trains its procurement services agents to make choices that take into account social and environmental criteria. It thereby strives to increase the purchasing of eco-friendly goods and services that provide organizations with social benefits and strengthen their economic sustainability.

In addition, ADM has selected providers for the recycling of computer equipment with whom it wishes to finalize service agreements.
“All of these efforts are part of a comprehensive approach to sustainable development, which is a priority for ADM,” concluded Mr. Rainville. “By becoming partners of the CESIM initiative, we reaffirm this commitment that is reflected in our activities and day-to-day functioning at Aéroports de Montréal.”
