Air France has launched its daily service between Paris and Montreal by Boeing 787. To celebrate the arrival of this first flight on May 1st, the Dreamliner was given the traditional water salute by the fire department at Montreal-Trudeau airport.
The Boeing 787 will serve Montreal-Trudeau airport on a daily basis until the end of October 2017.
Air France’s Boeing 787s are equipped with 30 seats in Business class, 21 seats in Premium Economy and 225 seats in Economy class.
“We are very proud to be able to offer our Montreal customers the first chance to experience this aircraft on Air France’s long-haul network,” said Jean-Noël Rault, Vice-President and General Manager of Air France-KLM in Canada.

Over the years, it has been constantly renewing its fleet while at the same time improving the quality of customer service. We are delighted to welcome Air France’s B787’s first transatlantic commercial flight to Montreal-Trudeau.”
Flight schedules (in local time) of Air France’s Boeing 787:
AF345: leaves Montreal-Trudeau at 16:50, arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 5:30 the following day;
AF344: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:35, arrives at Montreal-Trudeau at 14:55.
Air France and the Boeing 787
On April 20th, the company took delivery of its second Boeing 787 in Charleston. Air France will take delivery of three more aircraft by the end of 2017. By summer 2018, the fleet will comprise six aircraft.
This aircraft has many operational assets and offers greater comfort for customers:
– The fuel consumption of the Boeing 787 is 20% less than that of previous generation aircraft.
– It provides a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and noise emissions.

Montreal, second most served long-haul destination on the Air France network
After New York, Air France is the second most served destination in terms of seat capacity on Air France’s long-haul network. As from May 29th and until the end of September, Air France customers will be able to choose from 3 flights on departure from Montreal: 16:55 (B787), 19:20 (B777) or 22:05 (B777).
