OTTAWA – CANSEC Canada’s premier defense and security gave the opportunity to discover an innovative small technology Israeli company named SESP.
Taking advantage of a tour of Canada organized by the Embassy of Israel in Ottawa, to introduce to Canadian defense and security bodies like the Department of National Defense and police departments, Israel know-how, SESP Avraham and Orly Bussu introduced their latest product ‘The Drone Defender’.
SESP based in Petah Tikva, some 10 km east of Tel Aviv, has been designing and manufacturing electronic security equipment for the security market since 1986.
Today, SESP is the foremost innovator in the field or radio frequency jamming offering a comprehensive range of jamming equipment and systems which has a proven record of reliability and performance in all types of applications and environmental conditions.
In countering the ever-growing threat of remotely controlled improvised explosive devicees (RCIED), SESP has invested heavily in the development of a wide range of state-of-the-art, multi-band, very high power jamming systems for the protection of troop transportation, military and police checpoints, large governmental etablishments, bomb disposal squads and VIP convoy.
As underligned by Avraham Bussu, SESP latest developments include the ’Drone Defeater’, a very sophicated highly effective jammer able to disable control and navigational signals the drones rely on.
Mr Bussu recalled that UAV and drones have become a serious and growing threat in today’s terrorist and criminal battle. Drones can be mounted with not only camera but also weapons, toxic chemicals and explosives.
The SESP Drone Defender system has been designed to effectively disable control and navigation signals the drones depend on. It efficiently addresses the heightened concern of enemy UAVs within military, government, critical infrastructure and commercial security organizations.
In service for two years, the Drone Defender is designed as recalled Mr. Bussu to jam the link between the drone, the satellite and the controller as well as to neutralized the drone’s GPS.
What makes the Drone Defender better, is the fact that it can jam the full spectrum of frequencies.
The Drone Defender system can be adapted to protect a vehicle, a home as well as a large indudtrial facility, governement compound or military base.
