Dubai-based aircraft management company Titan Aviation Group has signed an Eagle Service™ Plan (ESP® Program) agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) on behalf of a private company which owns a new Bell 429 helicopter. The ESP® Program is an optional pay-per-hour engine maintenance plan designed for corporate and general aviation operators of select Pratt & Whitney Canada engine models, including its PW207D1 engines which power the Bell 429.
“India, with its burgeoning economy, is an important emerging market for P&WC and especially for our ESP® Program,” says Tim Swail, Vice President, Customer Programs, P&WC. “As the manager of the Bell helicopter on behalf of its Indian client, Titan will benefit from the “peace-of-mind” engine maintenance that our ESP® Program provides.”
“Our philosophy is to provide one-stop service for clients whose aircraft we manage, allowing them to focus on their businesses and leave aircraft maintenance and other aviation matters to us,” says Sakeer C. Sheik, Managing Director of Titan Aviation Group. “The pay-per-hour maintenance plan offered by P&WC is an excellent option for the owner of the Bell 429, enabling the company to accurately predict maintenance costs and avoid service interruptions.” Titan Aviation also manages an Embraer Phenom 100 jet and has enrolled its PW617 engines in the ESP® Program.
The ESP® Program provides long-term engine maintenance costs allowing operators to effectively budget for maintenance costs and protect cash flows from unexpected demand. Aircraft covered by ESP® typically have higher resale value.
The ESP® contract was signed at the Dubai Airshow on November 8, 2015.
ESP® Program
The ESP® Program is an engine maintenance budget program that provides enrolled operators with a “no surprises” environment for their engine maintenance. By simply paying an hourly fee based on the number of hours flown each month, ESP® Program members are covered for maintenance based on the plan they selected. Coverage under the ESP® Program also ensures the integrity of the engine since it makes use of genuine P&WC parts. The ESP® Program has eliminated the minimum annual utilization requirement, thus operators are responsible only for the hours that they fly. Other benefits of the program include:
