SAVANNAH, Georgia, September 21, 2015 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently named Brian Durrence vice president of Engineering. He reports to Dan Nale, senior vice president, Programs, Engineering and Test, Gulfstream.
A 25-year Gulfstream veteran, Durrence started with the company as a structural engineer in 1990 and rose through the ranks to project engineer and project engineering manager before becoming chief engineer in 2010. Durrence has worked on a number of Gulfstream aircraft programs during his tenure, including the Gulfstream GIV-SP, GV, G450, G550, G650 and G650ER.
In his new role, Durrence is responsible for establishing the strategic vision of the Engineering organization, identifying and implementing best practices and ensuring the correct engineering skills are in place for designing, integrating, testing and certifying Gulfstream aircraft.
Durrence earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
